Chemistry of phosphatide and wax D of Mycobacterium tuberculosis BCG in one week culture.

چکیده
•g Purified wax•h as isolated by Anderson (1929), is a complex lipid extracted with chloroform from cultures of acid fast bacilli. Extracting the purified wax with boiling acetone, Asselineau (1951) obtained a soluble portion termed •gWax C•h and an insoluble residue, the •gWax D•h fraction. Likewise, the alcohol-ether soluble part of acid fast bacilli was classified into several fractions. •gPhosphatide•h is a boiling acetone insoluble residue in the alcohol-ether soluble fraction, corresponding to Wax D of the alcohol-ether insoluble and chloroform soluble fraction. Therefore, the substances contained in Wax D can be migrated from •gphosphatide•h depending on the conditions of extraction and on the metabolic stage of bacterial cells.

Immunogenicity of a DNA Vaccine Encoding Ag85a-Tb10.4 Antigens from Mycobacterium Tuberculosis
Background: Tuberculosis is a life threatening disease that is partially prevented by BCG vaccine. Development of more effective vaccines is an urgent priority in TB control. Ag85a and Tb10.4 are the members of culture filter protein (CFP) of M. tuberculosis that have high immunogenicity. Objective: To analyze the immunogenicity of Ag85a-Tb10.4 DNA vaccine by enzyme-linked immunosorbent as...
متن کاملA new DNA vaccine expressing HspX-PPE44-EsxV fusion antigens of Mycobacterium tuberculosis induced strong immune responses
Objective(s): Infection with tuberculosis (TB) is regarded as a major health issue. Due to the emergence of antibiotic resistance during TB treatment, prevention via vaccination is one of the most effective ways of controlling the infection. DNA vaccines are developed at a greater pace due to their ability in generating a long-lasting immune response, higher safety com...
متن کاملA study on the immune response induced by a DNA vaccine encoding Mtb32C-HBHA antigen of Mycobacterium tuberculosis
Objective(s): Tuberculosis (TB) has still remained a global health issue. One third of the world's population is infected with tuberculosis and the current BCG vaccine has low efficiency; hence, it is necessary to develop a new vaccine against TB. The aim of the current study was to evaluate the efficiency of a novel DNA vaccine encoding Mtb32C-HBHA antigen in inducing specific immune responses...
متن کاملIsolation, Molecular Identification And Genomic Pattern of Mycobacterium Bovis Isolates Collected From Tuberculin-Positive Cattle in Infected Farms of Shiraz
Background: Mycobacterium bovis is the main cause of tuberculosis in cattle. At the global scale and also in Iran, the most frequent currently-in-use method in the detection of infected cattle is tuberculination. Objective: The present study was aimed to improve our genomic knowledge of Mycobacterium bovis population structure in cattle farms of Shiraz. Materials and Methods: Fifty pathologic...
متن کاملIsolation and identification of glyceryl monomycolate and of mycolic acid in phosphatide fraction of BCG.
In a chromatographic partitioning (Silicic acid-Hyflosupercel 2:1, Chloroform-methanol) of •gphosphatide•h of BCG, the author obtained three main peaks (Kondo, 1960) containing varied amounts of phosphorus. Glyceryl monomycolate was reported to distribute in neutral fat (Aoyagi et al., 1960) and in Wax A, C (Tsumita, 1956). It was assumed by the author that the glyceryl monomycolate can be migr...
